News & Events SELCO Improves Fiber to the Home Rollout with Clearcable and GLDS Integration

Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations (SELCO) leveraged its partnership with Clearcable and GLDS to integrate and deploy native FTTH provisioning and activation services.

The new implementation allows for a complete flow through environment from the GLDS BroadHub customer management and billing system to the Clearcable NOMS OSS which automatically provisions the FTTH elements.

“This project was a major milestone for SELCO and all parties involved collaborated very well to complete the integration to provide SELCO the functionality required” stated Insik Lee, Director of Software & Platform Development for Clearcable.

The solution also allows SELCO to leverage its existing deployment of Clearcable’s Cartograph Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM) software with the FTTH add-on, providing SELCO a single and cohesive view into its overall network health, reducing truck rolls and trouble calls.

“GLDS and Clearcable have been collaborating to maximize broadband efficiencies for more than a decade,” offered GLDS president, Garrick Russell. “In this case, we were able to do something at SELCO that neither company would be able to achieve independent of one another. As a result, SELCO is able to stay on top of its business, and is able to deliver a more scalable operating environment for its customers.”
